Role Summary

We are seeking a bilingual Community & Startup Liaison Coordinator to support an international startup accelerator program based in Tokyo Dome City. This role focuses on community building, coordination, and communication across Japanese startups, international founders, mentors, and the Tokyo Dome City team. It is well suited for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is already involved in startups and is curious about accelerator or ecosystem-building work as a longer-term career path.

This role may lead to expanded responsibilities or a full-time position for candidates interested in working in startup acceleration, innovation programs, or venture ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Communication Management

  • Own and manage the program Discord, which is the primary communication hub for founders, mentors, Tokyo Dome City stakeholders, and the broader community
  • Support announcements, discussions, and coordination across channels
  • Help facilitate DAO-style voting and decision-making within the community (founder votes, mentor input, program decisions)

Accelerator Program Support

  • Support weekly accelerator activities, including Wednesday evening sessions and workshops
  • Coordinate logistics, schedules, and on-site support for founders, mentors, and speakers
  • Act as a liaison between Japanese and international participants

Events & Community Building

  • Help plan and run networking events, demo sessions, and informal community gatherings
  • Support relationship-building between startups, mentors, partners, and Tokyo Dome City team members

Operations & Coordination

  • Assist with documentation, follow-ups, and basic reporting
  • Provide bilingual support for written and verbal communication
  • Help keep day-to-day operations organized and running smoothly

Who We're Looking For

  • Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken and written)
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional, ideally with:
    • Startup, accelerator, VC, or founder experience
    • Strong interest in entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems
  • Comfortable managing online communities (Discord, Slack, or similar)
  • Organized, proactive, and reliable
  • Interested in accelerator or startup ecosystem work as a potential career path

Hours & Compensation

  • 15–20 hours per week, flexible schedule (Wednesday nights a must: see full schedule)
  • On-site presence at Tokyo Dome City a few times per week is required
  • Compensation: ¥250,000 per month (part-time)
    • This is competitive for Tokyo-based part-time accelerator roles at this responsibility level
  • Transportation reimbursement provided according to company policy
